Jewelry Care

How do I take care of my Ohemaa the label Jewelry?

Our pieces are all limited in quantity and delicate due to the handmade nature of some of the pieces. To best care for your jewelry, here’s what we recommend:

Our pieces are 18k Gold Plated and Gold-plated jewelry will naturally turn color with time. Our body skin oils react differently to certain metals and plating, and this can cause jewelry to turn color. Please follow our jewelry care suggestions so the color of the jewelry can last longer.

Avoid wearing your jewelry in the shower, ocean, or pool and limit contact with perfumes and lotions. Avoid exposing your jewelry to excessive humidity or excessive direct sunlight. Clean and shine with a cotton cloth.

Avoid banging your jewelry on tabletops or against any other hard surfaces.
Pack and store your jewelry with care (avoid throwing it in the bottom of your bag).
Our pieces are made to last, however, when they are handled without adequate care (excessive dropping, improper storage, extreme wear, and tear) they are more likely to show wear over time.
